Ungarn ist besonders stolz auf den Pianisten Adam Gyorgy. Er wird am 08. Juni 2012 bei der Eröffnung der Fußball-EM in Warschau seine Komposition Respect the contrast erklingen lassen. 60.000 Fußball-Fans werden dann live im Stadion mit seinen Klängen in den Bann gezogen.
Gyorgys Idee seiner Komposition erläutert er wie folgt: „The idea of the composition was to create something that brings the Polish classical tradition of Chopin into a sport environment,“- explains György. „I am a classical artist, I wanted to keep the old way of performing, so I am playing an original Chopin composition in this unusual setting. It’s not only about connecting two different cultures, but also introducing pure classical music into a very unique environment.“
Die Eröffnung wird auch über die Fernsehbildschirme zu sehen sein und somit über 300 Mio Menschen vor die Bildschirme locken.
