Letztes Jahr war der Mandelbaum in Pécs der Baum des Jahres in Ungarn. Nun ist der wunderschöne Mandelbaum Baum des Jahres in Europa. Der Baum ist 135 Jahre alt und steht an der Havas Blessed Kirche in Pécs. Die Wahl fiel nun in Brüssel mit über 45.000Stimmen auf den Mandelbaum in Ungarn.

A Hungarian almond tree is the tree of the year in Europe
It looks Hungary got some pretty serious title in this year, just a few months ago Budapest got the Best European Destination title, and now, an almond tree in Pécs got the Tree of the year in Europe.
According to the results announced in Brussels, the majority of the 45,132 votes were in the Pécs tree.
The winner of the online voting, the almond tree of Pécs, is a twisted-body, over 135-year-old tree that welcomes the arrivals at the Havas Blessed Church in Pécs, at the top of Havihegy.

Magyarország ebben az évben számos komoly elismerést begyűjtött a nemzetközi versenyeken. Néhány hónapja Budapest elnyerte a Best European Destination címét, míg a Pécsi havihegyi mandula fa az év európai fája címet kapta meg.
A Brüsszelben kihirdetett eredmény szerint a legtöbb, 45 132 szavazatot a pécsi fa kapta.
Az online szavazáson győztes pécsi mandulafa egy csavarodott törzsű, több mint 135 éves fa, ami a Havihegy csúcsán álló pécsi Havas Boldogasszony-templomnál fogadja az érkezőket.
